Mood check-in

A mood check-in can be decoration, or it can be a validated screening tool. The app's is the latter.

A validated tool, not a guess

The app's brief wellbeing screen uses PHQ-2, a validated two-item depression screening tool — not a made-up mood scale, and never presented as a diagnosis.

Common questions

Does a low PHQ-2 score mean I'm depressed?

No — PHQ-2 is a brief screener, not a diagnosis. A positive score is a prompt to talk to a professional, not a conclusion the app draws about you.
