Blog / We built a dungeon into a health app. Here's why.
Earned, not purchased. Decoration, not a dependency loop.
Tracking anything consistently is hard. Tracking something as unglamorous as water intake or sleep quality, for months, without any payoff, is harder. So there's a Dungeon — a small room you decorate with collectible creatures, earned by actually logging things.
There's no real-money purchase path for coins or collectibles. You earn them by hitting real tracking thresholds — meals logged, water tracked, sleep recorded. The gamification layer sits entirely on top of genuine engagement; it can't be bypassed with a credit card.
Not everything worth tracking is a default field. Little Greenhouse lets you build your own trackers for whatever the built-in screens don't cover, and set your own reminders around them — the same consistency problem the Dungeon is built to help with, solved a second way.
